Casa Solis
Client Name : Ajmeras
Square Footage : 2400sft
Project Scope : Interior Design
This 3-bedroom home maximises the use of a typical apartment transforming it into a two-master-bedroom home with a guest bedroom that doubles as a workspace. A puja is carved out of the dining area using a statement antique pillar, while heritage elements like a swing in the balcony define the family’s legacy. Timeless materials like wood, black granite, and white walls are used as a canvas to display art with stories. Simple, yet functional pieces of furniture make the space transition from a quiet daytime to lively evenings easily.
The green foyer walls are dotted with 40 year old sketches done by the homeowner. This marks just the start of the personalization that has gone into this home.
The master bedroom with its built-in upholstered bed and soft padded headboard create a cosy space for its users. Light coloured wardrobes make the space look less heavy while still ensuing adequate storage.
The junior master has a more neo-classical influence with its moulding and two-poster bed and has a contemporary twist with the walk-in closet and custom quirky art.
The guest bedroom evolves with the need of the hour (literally) from a yoga room in the morning to a study in the afternoon to a guest bedroom fit for its young frequenters. Its statement blue ceiling is often completed with the laser projection of a starry sky enthralling children and adults alike.
