The Green Axis House

Client Name : Devina & Apurv Salarpuria
Square Footage : 3500sft
Project Scope : Renovation

This space is a great example where architecture evolves with the users’ needs. What was originally a living room, bar, and home theatre was converted to an open format living-dining, mainly meant for entertainment, a permeable study tat functions as an ante-chamber to a kids’ room.

Even though walls were broken down to make way for these new spaces, the clients existing marble floors were retaining and new flooring added in while using brass strips as emphasize and embrace this transformation. Existing furniture was reorganized and complemented with new pieces. Straight lines, tall moulding and curved edges in ceilings make the space look taller and more grand. Luxury is also brought in through other subtle ways like brass skirtings, a marble table top, velvet upholstery, and gold and brass elements in the furniture and accessories.

The twins’ rooms and bathrooms are similar, yet unique to their personalities. Soft pastels, white furniture and large play areas are common factors, yet their choice of study and hobby spaces, and colours and prints come through.
